About the Role

We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a truly independent practice—the only one of its kind in North Ayrshire. Owned and run by the same family for over 50 years, this clinic prides itself on delivering exceptional pet care without the pressure of sales targets.

You’ll have the clinical freedom to work up cases to the highest standards, with 15–30 minute consultations and support from a collaborative, experienced team. The role offers a healthy balance of consulting, surgery, and admin time, as well as flexibility to accommodate part-time or school-hour working patterns.

Salary £40–60k DOE

No out-of-hours work

Flexible working options: full-time (4 days) or part-time

1 in 3 Saturday mornings (9am–12 noon)

6.8 weeks holiday including public holidays (pro rata)

£1,500 CPD allowance

VDS & RCVS fees paid

About You

RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon

Minimum 2 years’ experience preferred

Strong communicator with excellent client care skills

Team-oriented, with a willingness to collaborate and share knowledge

Committed to high clinical standards
