Nearly 40 years established, this small animal practice provides the highest standard of care across three independent sites, including a new gold-standard cat-only clinic at the main site. The practice has a team of 38 staff, including 17 nurses, and is a teaching practice with a supportive, open culture and a strong emphasis on CPD.
The Role:
The practice is seeking an experienced Head Nurse to lead the clinical teams across all sites. Key responsibilities include:
Clinical management and development of protocols in collaboration with senior vets
Induction, supervision, and coaching of all clinical staff
HR and resource management: recruitment, rotas, appraisals, and performance reviews
Ensuring compliance with RCVS standards across all clinical areas
Acting as an experienced clinical coach and mentor
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ leadership experience in a veterinary nursing role
RVN qualified, preferably with RPA and RLA
Clinical coach experience
Strong consulting, client care, and team coaching skills
Leadership/management qualifications desirable
The Details:
4-day week (8.30am – 7pm) plus one in five Saturdays (9am – 12pm)
1 in 5 rota for hospitalised patient care
