Mixed Veterinary Surgeon – Northumberland (AONB)

An established, close knit practice in the heart of Northumberland is looking to welcome an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to the team. This is a rare opportunity to work within one of the UK’s most breathtaking regions, the Northumberland Coast, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty known for sweeping beaches, historic castles and diverse wildlife. Surrounded by countryside and sandy beaches, you will be just 30 minutes from Newcastle upon Tyne and around one hour from Edinburgh, offering the perfect balance of rural lifestyle with city accessibility.

The Role
Mixed caseload with a small animal bias
Ideally 3+ years’ experience
Structured rota:
6 week cycle
5 weeks and 4 days (including 1 on call week)
Followed by 1 week of 5 shorter days
1:6 on call weekends
Long weekend off following your on call weekend (Friday to Monday)
On call phone provided
Directors always available for clinical support

Salary
£40,000 to £80,000+
No upper limit for certificate holders or those bringing additional expertise.
