Job Title: Veterinary Surgeon

Location: Lincolnshire

Salary: Up to £85K

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to provide exceptional care to our patients while adhering to RCVS welfare guidelines. You will work with a variety of animals, including exotics, and play a key role in the day-to-day management of the clinic alongside the Practice Manager. This role requires confidence in sole charge responsibilities, both medically and surgically, with the support of nurses. Additionally, you will help drive the clinic’s growth and assist in achieving RCVS accreditation.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:
Deliver high-quality veterinary care, ensuring patient welfare and client satisfaction.
Diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of medical and surgical cases.
Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, ensuring collaboration within the clinical team.
Maintain efficient caseload management while upholding the highest standards of veterinary practice.
Practice Management & Team Collaboration:
Work alongside the Practice Manager to oversee daily clinic operations.
Foster effective communication within the team and provide support to nurses and receptionists as needed.
Guide and support the clinical team when required.
Play an active role in staff training and professional development.
Collaborate with directors and the Practice Manager to improve and modernize the clinic.
Participate in regular meetings to discuss practice goals, developments, and improvements.
Business Development & Innovation:
Contribute to the evolution and growth of the practice by implementing innovative ideas.
Assist in achieving and maintaining high clinical standards, working toward RCVS accreditation.
Help enhance operational efficiency, ensuring proper stock control and reception presence.
Learning & Development:
Take responsibility for keeping your professional knowledge and skills up to date.
Support training initiatives, including work experience placements.
Required Skills & Experience:
Previous experience working within a veterinary team committed to excellent service delivery.
Strong clinical decision-making skills with a patient-centered approach.
Excellent client care abilities, with the capacity to remain calm, professional, and empathetic under pressure.
Competency in IT systems and a willingness to learn Verifac Practice Management Software (training provided).
Sound understanding of veterinary terminology, drugs, treatments, and procedures.
Professional appearance and adherence to the clinics dress code/uniform policy.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
