We’re looking for an experienced Ophthalmologist (Certificate Holder) to support a busy and well-established referral service on a 6 to 12-month contract.

Whether youre between permanent roles or exploring the next step in your specialist journey, this is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a progressive team while continuing to grow your expertise.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Providing high-level ophthalmology referral consultations and surgical procedures (with support when required)

Participating in evening/weekend emergency rota

Assisting with surgical training and attending regular journal clubs

Delivering CPD sessions and internal training to nurses and support staff

Maintaining excellent standards in clinical care, communication, and compliance

Building lasting relationships with referring vets and clients

What We’re Looking For:

Certificate in Ophthalmology (or working toward one)

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Commitment to CPD and clinical excellence

A flexible, team-oriented mindset

Contract Details:

6 to 12-month contract

£40,000 – £55,000 (depending on experience and working pattern)
