This small, mixed practice is based across two sites in beautiful Mid-Devon and is proud to offer a truly personal service to its local community. About the Practice:

Independently owned, mixed species caseload

Two fully equipped branches

Digital x-ray, ultrasound, Idexx and Axiom lab equipment, multiparameter monitors, separate BP/pulse ox/oesophageal thermometer

Access to visiting specialists and surgeons

The Role:
You’ll work closely with a tight-knit team of vets, receptionists, and support staff to ensure high standards of patient care, both in consultations and in theatre. The role includes a mix of surgical, nursing, and occasional admin tasks, with plenty of variety each day.

Typical Duties Include:

Supporting surgical and anaesthetic procedures

Maintaining and preparing clinical areas and equipment

In-house lab work (e.g. biochemistry, haematology, cytology)

Assisting with consultations and house visits

Ensuring high hygiene standards and compliance with Health & Safety policies

Involvement in training and supporting junior staff

What They’re Looking For:

A confident, caring, and proactive RVN

Someone with great communication skills and a collaborative spirit

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Experience is preferred, as you may work sole charge at times, but confident new grads will be considered

A full UK driving licence and own transport is essential

Salary & Benefits:

Competitive salary, dependent on experience

4 weeks holiday (pro rata) + bank holidays

No more than 1 in 3 Saturdays (9am–6pm)

Weekday hours between 8am–6:30pm, to be agreed at offer stage
