Registered Veterinary Nurse – SE Wiltshire
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic RVN to join our friendly and welcoming small animal practice in SE Wiltshire. Locum first to try the site and the fit – you will love them!
We’re based in a fantastic location – surrounded by beautiful countryside, with the New Forest on the doorstep, Stonehenge just north of us, the coast just 30 minutes away, and direct train links to London in just over an hour. It’s the perfect mix of city, coast, and countryside living.
About the role and practice:
You’ll be joining a supportive team of 2 vets, 3 RVNs, an SVN, a Practice Manager and 4 receptionists, all working together to provide excellent patient and client care. Our practice is well-equipped with modern facilities, giving you the opportunity to use your nursing skills to their full potential – whether that’s running nurse clinics, taking and processing blood samples, placing catheters, taking x-rays, monitoring anaesthetics, or more.
We are a first-opinion practice, so every day is different – some days are very busy, while others can be more relaxed. We’re looking for someone adaptable, flexible, and positive, who enjoys variety and can work well within our dynamic team.
We’d love to hear from you if you:
Have solid general nursing experience and great client care skills
Are cheerful, approachable, and passionate about animal welfare
Hold (or are willing to complete training for) a Clinical Coaching certificate to support our SVN
What we offer in return:
Competitive salary (from £30,000 DOE)
No OOH or overnight in-patient checks
Generous CPD allowance (including funded certificates)
Contributory pension scheme
Paid professional memberships (RCVS, BVNA, VDS)
Exclusive high street and company discounts
A supportive, positive team environment
Flexibility – full-time, part-time, or job shares considered
Hours:
Practice opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 7pm, and Saturday 9am – 3pm.
If you’re looking to join a forward-thinking, supportive practice where you can truly make the most of your nursing skills, we’d love to hear from you.
