Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon
Part-Time | Wiltshire (Market Town Location)
Salary: £45,000–£65,000 DOE
We are supporting a proudly independent veterinary group in Wiltshire seeking an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team on a part-time basis, with some weekend involvement.
This role is ideal for a vet with some UK experience who wants to develop medical and surgical skills within a friendly, collaborative, non-corporate environment. You will be based at a well-established branch practice with a loyal client base and a consistent, supportive nursing team.
As a branch vet, you will manage your own medical and surgical caseload, with full support from the group’s state-of-the-art hospital nearby. The hospital provides full OOH and referral-level support, meaning no OOH commitments for this role. Facilities include advanced diagnostics and access to certificate holders in medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, and imaging (including CT).
The ownership team offers flexible working patterns and structured career development. Their ethos is “large enough to cope with the unexpected, small enough to know everyone by name,” creating a supportive and inclusive culture.
Work–life balance:
Set 2-hour lunch break every day
Alternating 4- and 5-day weeks
Average 7.5-hour working day
One weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) every 5 weeks
