Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon

Stable Close Veterinary Clinic is a long-established, independent small animal practice based in the heart of Winchester. We are looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon (minimum 6–12 months qualified) to join our friendly and supportive team as we continue to grow.

This role would suit a confident early-career vet looking to consolidate skills in a nurturing environment, or a more experienced clinician seeking flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to shape their role around their interests.

The Role
Hours: 25–38 hours per week (flexible and negotiable)
Rota: 1 in 4 Saturdays (9am–12pm)
OOH: None
Team: 4 vets (growing to 5), 4 qualified nurses, 1 trainee nurse
Clinical expectations: Confident with routine consults and neutering support and mentoring provided for further procedures and case progression

About You
RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
At least 6–12 months’ experience in small animal practice
Confident with neutering and routine first-opinion work
Compassionate, client-focused, and a strong communicator
A team player who values collaboration and support
