Veterinary Surgeon – Small Animal Practice, Hertfordshire

Location: Hertfordshire (easy access to London, M1 & M25, near countryside)
Hours: 4 days/week (38 hours average)
Salary: £45,000–£55,000 depending on experience

Our client is a small, friendly independent first-opinion practice, committed to delivering high-quality, personalised care to their loyal local clients. Continuity and quality of care are central to their ethos.

The clinic is well-equipped with a range of diagnostic tools, including ultrasound, digital x-ray, endoscope, table-top lab testing, and microscope. The supportive team fosters a welcoming environment where professional development and collaboration are encouraged.

The practice is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon who:
Has 3+ years’ experience in small animal practice
Is a confident communicator, able to build rapport with clients and their pets
Maintains high clinical standards while working collaboratively in a friendly team
Holds a full, clean driving licence
Enjoys a positive, team-oriented work culture with a good sense of humour

Working pattern & benefits:
4-day week (38 hours average) with no out-of-hours work
Every third Saturday morning (9am–12pm) included in hours
