An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Farm Vet to join an independent, forward-thinking veterinary practice serving Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, and Ceredigion. We specialise in cattle but provide services for all livestock on your farm.

We are open to candidates who are comfortable with sole charge farm work and have a keen interest in herd health. We are also very interested in vets with a surgical certificate, as we aim to expand our surgical capabilities and reduce the need for referrals.

The Role
1:5 rota covering out-of-hours and weekends.
Focus on fertility visits, including pregnancy checks, heat detection, and reproductive tract assessments.
Herd health assessments to monitor and optimise herd performance, working closely with farmers and other advisors.
Bull breeding soundness exams and pre-sale certification to ensure fertility and productivity.
Opportunity to develop and expand surgical skills within a supportive environment.
Role available due to practice expansion.

Salary & Benefits
£45,000 for the first 2 years (salary highly negotiable for an experienced surgical candidate – all levels considered).
Overtime paid.
On-call retainer plus hourly rates.
