Veterinary Surgeon – Independent Practice in Surrey
Location: Surrey (independent, community-focused practice)
Hours: 4-day week, 31 hours
Saturdays: 1 in 3 (8am–12pm)
No Sundays, Bank Holidays, or out-of-hours work
Consults: 20 minutes
Salary: £45,000–£60,000
CPD: Generous allowance
About the Role
Our client, an independent and highly respected veterinary practice in Surrey, is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. They are committed to providing patient-focused care in a supportive and collaborative environment, and are proud to offer a balanced working week with no out-of-hours commitment.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a practice equipped with modern facilities, including ultrasound, DR X-ray, multi-parameter monitors, syringe driver, tonopen, and Phovia, with a motivated team that includes experienced RVNs, student nurses, receptionists, and a range of Vets with specialist skills.
Ideal Candidate
Experience in first-opinion practice (not suitable for new graduates).
Strong relationship-building skills with clients and their pets.
Empathetic and solution-focused communicator, comfortable discussing clinical and financial matters.
Committed to continuous professional growth, self-reflection, and collaboration.
Confident in valuing and discussing their clinical skills.
