Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon – Hertfordshire (Independent Practice)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a proudly independent, well-equipped practice in Hertfordshire. This role is ideal for a vet with 2–3+ years’ experience looking to develop within a supportive, close-knit team while enjoying a varied caseload and excellent facilities.

The Role

Full-time position (40 hours per week)
1 in 3 Saturdays (mornings only)
No out-of-hours or on-call (dedicated OOH provider)
One set day off each week
Balanced mix of medical and surgical cases
Opportunity to work up cases to a high standard (high proportion of insured clients)
Exposure to some small furries alongside small animal work

Candidate Requirements

RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
Minimum 2–3 years’ UK experience
Confident with routine surgery and consultations
Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
Team player with a proactive and positive attitude

Salary & Benefits

£45,000 – £65,000 DOE
