Registered Veterinary Nurse – Maternity Cover (15-Month Contract)

Contract: July 2026 – September 2027
Hours: Approximately 30 hours per week

An independent small animal practice in South West London is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team on a maternity cover contract for approximately 15 months.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a close-knit and supportive practice, working within a small team consisting of one veterinary surgeon, one receptionist, and two nurses.

The Role:
Approximately 30 hours per week
1 in 4 Saturday rota (8:30am–1:00pm)
Weekday shifts typically 9:30am–7:00pm (flexibility available)
Opportunities to take on additional shifts to cover annual leave and sickness

Responsibilities:
Delivering high standards of patient care across all aspects of nursing
Supporting theatre, consultations, and reception duties as required
Contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
Opportunity to assist the practice manager with ongoing projects

Candidate Requirements:
Confident and competent across all general nursing duties
Proactive, motivated, and adaptable
Comfortable working within a small team environment
Strong communication and organisational skills
Package:
Up to £22 per hour
Option to agree a fixed term contract for the duration of the contract to provide financial stability
