Student Veterinary Nurse (2nd Year+)

Student Veterinary Nurse (2nd Year+)
Independent Practice | Middlesex | Full Time
High Clinical Standards

Are you a 2nd or 3rd year Student Veterinary Nurse looking for a genuinely hands-on role where you can develop your skills in a fast-paced, highly supportive environment?

My client, a busy and highly respected independent small animal practice in Middlesex, is looking for a confident and proactive SVN (2nd year and above) to join their close-knit clinical team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student nurse who enjoys variety, wants exposure to complex caseloads, and is keen to learn in a practice where patient care and nursing standards are genuinely prioritised.

The Practice
This well-established independent practice is known for delivering exceptional patient care and high clinical standards throughout. With 3–4 vets operating daily, a busy caseload, and a minimum of five procedures per day, this is a role for someone who thrives in a clinical environment where no two days are the same.

The team regularly undertakes more advanced procedures, giving nurses valuable exposure to complex anaesthesia monitoring, advanced inpatient care, and gold-standard nursing protocols. The practice is well equipped with advanced imaging including CT, creating fantastic opportunities to expand your clinical confidence and experience.

This is a fast-paced environment, so confidence, organisation, and a positive attitude are essential.

The Role
You will work closely alongside a highly experienced nursing and veterinary team, supporting consultations, inpatient care, theatre, and anaesthesia.

This role would suit someone who:

Is a 2nd or 3rd year SVN (or above)
Is comfortable working in a busy clinical environment
Enjoys being part of a collaborative and supportive team
Has a proactive attitude and strong willingness to learn
Wants to build confidence across all aspects of clinical nursing

You will gain exposure to a broad caseload and a genuinely supportive team that is invested in helping student nurses grow in confidence and capability.

The Package
Full-time role
No Out of Hours
1 in 6 Saturdays (7:30am–5:30pm or 8:00am–5:00pm) with TOIL
Excellent hands-on learning opportunities
Exposure to advanced procedures and complex case management
Supportive independent team genuinely invested in your development
Fantastic clinical exposure to help build confidence and practical skills

This is an ideal opportunity for an SVN who enjoys a busy caseload, wants to be clinically involved, and is excited by the chance to learn within a progressive independent practice where nursing standards are genuinely valued.
