Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
Independent Practice | Middlesex | Full Time
New Graduates Welcome | £30,000–£35,000+ DOE

Are you an RVN looking for a role where nursing is truly valued, Schedule 3 is actively encouraged, and clinical standards are genuinely high?

My client, a busy and highly respected independent small animal practice in Middlesex, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their supportive and forward-thinking team. Applications are welcomed from both new graduate RVNs and experienced nurses, with flexibility depending on experience and career goals.

This is an excellent opportunity for an RVN who enjoys a varied caseload, wants to build confidence in advanced nursing skills, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment.

The Practice
This well-established independent practice offers a busy and rewarding caseload, with 3–4 vets operating each day and a minimum of five procedures daily.

The team manages a variety of routine and more advanced procedures, meaning nurses play a genuinely important clinical role. You will gain exposure to complex anaesthesia monitoring, advanced inpatient care, and gold-standard patient management, supported by excellent facilities including CT imaging.

The practice strongly believes in utilising its nurses properly and actively encourages Schedule 3 nursing, with support and mentoring provided to help individuals grow in confidence and skill.

The Role
This role can be tailored depending on experience level, making it suitable for both confident RVNs and those early in their careers.

You will ideally:
Be an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse
Be a Clinical Coach, or be open to training and becoming one
Be comfortable working in a busy clinic environment
Be enthusiastic about developing clinical skills
Enjoy a proactive, collaborative team culture

Schedule 3 nursing is actively encouraged, including opportunities to become confident in:
Dental scale and polish
Stitch-ups and minor procedures
Anaesthesia monitoring across routine and complex procedures
Advanced inpatient care

Support is provided to help nurses build confidence where needed — enthusiasm and willingness to learn are highly valued.

For candidates interested in progression, there is also the potential opportunity for a Branch Lead Nurse position, with salary negotiable accordingly. Equally, the practice is very happy to appoint someone into a standard RVN role.

The Package
£30,000+ for new graduates
Up to £35,000 DOE for experienced RVNs
Higher salary negotiable for potential Branch Lead Nurse
