An excellent locum opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a long-established, highly respected independent veterinary practice in Surrey for an initial 4–6 week placement starting June 8th.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and caring RVN looking to join a genuinely friendly, close-knit team within a busy first opinion GP environment. My client combines the warmth and familiarity of a small independent practice with modern veterinary medicine, advanced diagnostics, and high clinical standards.
The practice has built an excellent reputation within the local community, with a loyal and proactive client base who are committed to doing the very best for their pets.

The Practice
This independent GP practice prides itself on delivering high-quality, compassionate veterinary care, treating every pet as if they were their own.
You will be joining a welcoming and supportive team consisting of:
2 highly experienced Veterinary Surgeons
2 Nurses (RVN & SVN)
Dedicated and experienced reception support
Plus the practice’s resident feline personality, Spike the cat
The clinic offers a genuinely hands-on nursing environment where RVNs are fully utilised and play an integral role in patient care.

The Role
This is a varied and rewarding locum position involving:
Theatre and peri-operative nursing
Anaesthesia monitoring
Nurse clinics
Inpatient care
General RVN duties within a busy GP setting
You’ll enjoy working within a collaborative and supportive team where nurses are actively involved throughout the patient journey.

Hours & Rota
Full-time locum role
40-hour week
Flexible rota
1 in 3 Saturday mornings
Time off in lieu provided
No out-of-hours
Bank holidays free to enjoy

About You:
RCVS Registered
Friendly, proactive, and team-oriented
Comfortable working within a busy first opinion environment
Confident with general nursing duties and theatre work
Available to start June 8th
