Independent Practice | South West London
July 2026 – September 2027 (Approx. 15-Month Fixed Term)
Part-Time | Approx. 30 Hours Per Week

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly, independent veterinary practice in South West London on a maternity cover basis from July 2026 through to September 2027.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an RVN seeking a genuinely supportive and close-knit team environment where you will be valued as an integral part of the practice.

My client is looking for a confident, proactive and motivated nurse who enjoys variety within their role and is comfortable working across theatre, consulting, inpatient care and reception duties. There will also be the opportunity to work closely with the Practice Manager on a variety of ongoing projects throughout the placement.

The Practice
This is a well-established independent practice with a strong emphasis on compassionate, personalised patient care and team culture.
The clinic is proudly feline-friendly, placing a strong focus on emotional wellbeing and low-stress handling for all patients.

You will be joining a small and collaborative team consisting of:
1 Veterinary Surgeon
2 Nurses
1 Receptionist
Due to the nature of the team, this role would particularly suit an RVN who enjoys autonomy, building relationships, and becoming a valued part of a practice community.

As an independent clinic, locums and fixed-term team members are welcomed as part of the wider practice team and treated as such.

The Role
Approx. 30 hours per week
3 weekday shifts (typically 9:30am–7:00pm) – flexibility available
1 in 4 Saturday mornings (8:30am–1:00pm)
Opportunity to pick up additional holiday and sickness cover shifts throughout the contract if desired

Varied role including:
Theatre nursing
Nurse consultations
Reception duties
Inpatient care
Supporting ongoing practice projects

About You:
RCVS Registered
Confident across all nursing duties
Proactive and motivated
Comfortable working within a smaller team environment
Someone who enjoys becoming part of a close-knit team
